Tablane 1.4.2

We got Tablane Version 1.4.2 out yesterday. It can now support most of the big brand Toolbar plugins for IE. Our attention now turns to the bigger picture project -- the on-line service which somehow we are going to release in April. The Tablane installer is on Download.com, and you can set Tablane as your default browser too. It expires on 31st of May by which time our situation should be very different. We're on the hunt for angel investment. I'm rattling the tin, everyone. Incidently, I'm friends with Google's AdWords again. By keeping the amount I'm prepared to pay as low as possible, using the keywords tools they offer, and leaving well alone, I'm getting more Click Throughs than we can really afford, particularly from 3rd party Content sites. Fortunately, we are getting more Visitors from other sources (blogs) than Google by now and we can scale back expenditure here. We're on 7,000 downloads now, which put crudely means we've spent about 50 Euro cent with Google for each download they've helped instigate. For a free browser this isn't an optimal business model. The rate of downloads is steadily increasing, but it would be good to be in a six figure rather than a four figure zone by Easter.

CrunchNotes - Ron Conway and Web 2.0

CrunchNotes Ron Conway and Web 2.0 "Nevertheless, Conway believes that some of the most interesting search innovations will soon emanate from companies not named Google (GOOG ) or, for that matter, Yahoo! (YHOO ) or Microsoft (MSFT ). Over the past two years, he has bet heavily on this hunch, putting his money in nearly two dozen startups. "Search is in its infancy today," says the seasoned Silicon Valley investor. "It's at 10% of its potential, maybe."
