The long tail analysis is a major justification for our entry into the online distance education market here in IT Sligo (School of Engineering - www.itsligo.ie/engdistance ). Here is an article I wrote for the online US magazine: Learning Circuits - A New Cost Model for Distance Education in Europe?

We believe that there is a huge international market for our courses, but we are not that well set up to exploit this. If any of you entrepeneurs out there have any ideas on how this might be done feel free to contact me at brian.mulligan@gmail.com

We'll be running the annual EdTech confernece in IT Sligo in late May. If you are at all interested in e-learning, join the Irish Learning Technology Association at http://ilta.dcu.ie/ - it's free.
